How was DonaArte born?

It arises with the intention of supporting patients who have been diagnosed with cancer, primarily hematological cancer. In Mexico, in the period from 2011 to 2016, hematopoietic organ cancer was the cause with the highest percentage of deaths from malignant tumors, in the population aged 18 to 29 years with a range of 27.1 to 30.9%.

Donarte, AC, is a non-profit organization, made up of a group of committed people with a high social and human sense, who want to be agents of change, concerned and occupied by the most vulnerable society, who do not want to be spectators in front of a problem as terrible as childhood and youth cancer and even in adults.

National statistics indicate that 190 thousand new cases of cancer are detected each year, 520 people are diagnosed a day and 22 every hour, and only 10 out of 100 can be transplanted, since they are still highly expensive treatments, many of these Patients do not have access to health services due to different circumstances, either because they do not have social security, they do not have insurance for major medical expenses or that even if they have it, the insured amount is exhausted.

When a person is diagnosed with some type of catastrophic disease such as cancer, the world seems to collapse for the families and for the patient himself, not only because of the disease itself, but because of the cost of the treatments. The two main causes of death in these patients are: Late diagnosis and abandonment of treatment due to lack of resources. This is how the idea of dona-arte was born, whose main objective is to seek resources to support patients and their families in a comprehensive way.
